NICU Reunion & Ice Cream Social

I just received a postcard that is inviting my family to reunite with the nurses that cared for my babies at Suburban while they were in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). They also ask for donations that would help the Unit, the babies, and thier families.

Top wish list:
Prepaid gas cards (for visiting thier little angels)
Newborn diapers
Newborn clothing
Personal toiletry items
New toys (for siblings)

I am partial to this cause because 3 of my 4 children went directly to the NICU after birth. Jay T stayed 3 days with fluid in his lungs. Kathryn had a stroke at birth and suffered siezures, the Lord healed her at 5 months old and Timothy my biggest at 10lbs 8oz had a few lung issues along with sugar problems. You haven't seen anything until you've seen my 10pounder next to a preemie that weighs less than 1 pound! The nurses nicknamed him Tiny Tim.

Princess Katelynn

Here she is! Kat-e-lynn, other wise known as Mrs. Danielle on her attitude days. Boy did she get the girlly gene! But don't get it twisted she can hold her own with her big brother.

Katelynn has just noticed t.v. and she loves Dora.

She can be very demanding, that she gets and her middle name from her God Mother Zina Ha Ha, and at the same time she is my only child that with just sit on your lap and give big hugs and kisses for as long as you'll let her.

Not to long ago I found a doll house on clearance at WalMart and bought it to give her on her birthday. Of course I couldn't wait to give it to her and I'm sooo glad I didn't. She LOVES it!!! I's called Mrs. Goodbe's Caring Corner Doll House and she plays with it a lot. Now I just need to get all of the room accesories. I hope they go on clearence soon.

When Lil' Mami isn'tplaying dolls she's racing cars w/Timmy or reading books, drawing or playing dress up. I feel sooo Blessed to be able to be at home during the days. I only miss a few hours at night when I work and I am getting to enjoy all of my babies.

Timothy the Tornado!!!

Yes, It's Timmy! Hasn't he grown? Timmy just finished his first year of Awana Classes. He finished his Cubbie book and recieved many awards at the end of the year ceremony. Now every Sunday he wants to know when Cubbie Class is, that's hard to explain to a 3yr old. Um, Mrs. Patty is taking a break?

Timothy shares the responsability of saying prayers at our meals with Jay T. Man what pressure raising Godly children. Especially when you yourself are still a baby christian.

Timmy still loves his VeggieTales but when I tried to take him to see them at the Louisville Arts theater he was scared to death. I guess a tomato and cucumber that size just isn't the same. I think Timmy would be great at school this coming year but they claim we make to much money to get help (where is it then?) and it costs $140.00 a week!!!!!

I guess I'll continue to do the best I can at home til he's 5. This busy body spends his days playing stunt man off of all of my furniture. He was my first to get staples and he's had stiches already, both on his head! I think he might give me plenty of firsts. You gotta love a "Typical Boy" I need a nap!!

Here's Kathryn, my social butterfly. I'm looking for a clearer picture to show how b-e-a-utiful she is. She runs from me when I have my camera out so they are always a blur. She loves going to the movies, shopping with her friends and party planning. She's been planning her 13th Birthday party since January! I had to get a job to cover her plans Hee Hee!

She attends Farnsley Middle School and she's doing very well. Now boys are becoming an issue and I'm praying a lot more. Kathryn expressed once that she would like to be a Special Ed teacher. If she sticks to that I think she would be great! She has always kind of taken in the kids that are outcasts and befriended them. At times it has back fired on her but she is very forgiving, to her friends anyway. I haven't been so lucky. Someday mabye she'll like me, until then God requires me to be Mean ol Mom.

Jay T

Here's my oldest, isn't he handsome? These days Jay T is all about working on his 85 Mustang. This little car has been in our family since Jay T was born. First dad had it, he sold it to me and when Camee needed a car it moved in her direction. She just loved it! Now that Jay T is getting close to driving age Pepaw passed it down to him. I know that was difficult for him. I'm sure Camee is smiling about it.

Jay T is also finishing his freshman year at PRP High School. We couldn't have asked for a better year. He has all Advance Program classes and still getting all A's with an occasional B. Wow!!

He's still playing the Sax and he has gotten sooooo good. Maybe he'll try Percussion sometime. He did in middle school for a little while. About drove Pop crazy drummin around the house.

The ladies are a callin these days. I only hope they won't take advantage of his timid and kind heart. God is deeply inbedded in him and I'd like to keep it that way, ladies! It will probably be a challenge to find a Godly girl in this day and time so please pray for him.

Here's Jay doing what he does . He's lost a bunch of weight so I'll get a new pic soon. Here he was working on my 65 Impala. It was primered pink and everyone around town recognized it. Then pink became the new black on cars so we went black but, to stay unique Jay help me paint the motor pink and the wheels to. It's a whole different look now Rat Rod ish I guess. Don't get it twisted I'm still a Low Rider! Jay's health is my biggest worry now. Diabetes, high blood pressure and now his knee is soooo bad. Dr Popham wants to do a ACL reconstruct, repair 3 ligament tears, clean out a floating spur that's doing all of the damage, and get rid of a lump on the back. He will only agree to do some of it because he knows we can't afford to have him off work that long at this time. They have fitted him w/a brace and it will be made as soon as we pay $100.00 of the $1200.00 cost. Crazy!!!! Of course being the man he is he still works 50+ hours a week on his feet at a job that makes him crazy. Then does as much out of our garage as he can. All for us. Thanks Jay!!!!

The first day of my new high tech attempt to stay in touch better.

Well, here I go. To every one that I have invited to this blog, I am sorry that I have missed something important, not known where my phone was when you called, or just haven't come around enough. As I get older this continues to nag at me more and more. There just isn't enough time in a day. To all of my nieces and nephews especially because they are young and have yet to experience how hard life can be to juggle. Bobo and I love you very much. These are all of my imidiate nieces and nephews Kyrstin, Allysa, Sean, Sydnea, Haylee,Joey, Tre', Ty, Elleana, Alicen, Nora, and Stevie I'm still waiting! Sadly enough I also have two girlies that I have only seen twice and I have even forgotten thier names, (Shelby and Hope?) I want you all to know that I pray for you often and I want to be a better Aunt. If you have suggestions I'm all ears. Please know that you can come to me for anything, anytime, PLEASE!!! Due to lack of time I will need to stop here and touch on the rest of you soon. My next acomplishment I hope will be to figure out how to put pictures on here so that as you visit I can update everyone on that latest happenings by photo.
